Radical Middle Way, a government funded global grassroots initiative has launched its new site today.

The site has been developed by Xcite Digital (www.xcitedigital.com)  to help extend its reach to Britain’s 2 million Muslims.

The site is aimed at young Muslims, and provides a social networking platform to debate relevant issues affecting them in today’s society.

Members communicate with like minded individuals, learn details of public lectures, seminars, workshops and cultural programmes all of which are grounded in Islamic scholarship, tradition and civilisation.

Xcite Digital has redeveloped the Radical Middle Way site and social networking platform.

The new site includes a multilingual functionality enabling members to communicate around the world.

Xcite Digital will then roll out an online campaign to extend the reach through a combination of SEO, social networking and partnership programmes which target young Muslims (18-30) in the UK.

Rob Walker, Managing Director of Xcite Digital, said: “We are very pleased to be involved in this initiative. Radical Middleway is a hugely popular social site with around 20,000 users connecting and communicating with each other every month. We have make this even more popular by changing the look and feel of the site to make it more appealing to the younger generation.”

Ahmed Musa of Radical Middleway said: “Xcite Digital impressed us with their proposals for redeveloping the site and marketing to young Muslims in the UK. Radical Middle Way provides a platform for members to connect with each other as well as providing news on specific events, lectures and teachings from key speakers. It has become pivotal to the development of the Muslim community and we are keen to develop the site and welcome young members to join in the discussions.”

Right to reply: The New Twitter – a sticky, revenue-rich service that blitzes the third-party apps
Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…

Right to reply: ‘Instant Search’– Google giveth then taketh away
Google has just announced its “streaming search” service, Google Instant, is coming out of limited Beta testing and going live for all users. According to Adam Bunn, Head of Search at leading independent search and social marketing agency Greenlight, when it comes to search engine optimisation campaigns (SEO), some websites may now suffer a drop in traffic.

Guest comment: No rival to the SMS text exists in the market today
SMS is the obvious “lowest common denominator” mobile marketing solution... yet critics still talk about apps and website and vouchers. Darren Daws, Managing Director at Txtlocal argues why SMS is still the best mobile marketing medium, even on smartphones.
