Twitter will make around $25m from the search deals struck with Google and Microsoft in October, enough to push the site into profitability, according to a report.

Citing ‘people familiar with the deal’, Bloomberg reports that the deal to make Twitter’s messages searchable on Google netted the micro-blogging firm some $15m, while a similar deal with Microsoft’s Bing search engine will earn Twitter about $10m.
Bloomberg’s sources asked to remain anonymous because the terms aren’t public.
The multiyear agreements will allow Twitter to make a small profit in 2009, said the people, who estimate that its operating costs are about $20m to $25m a year.
The San Francisco-based company, which started in 2006, has about 105 employees, according to its site.
