Walkers Crisps has revamped its premium crisp brand, Sensations and commissioned cross platform digital agency, Jigsaw, to complete the design and build of the Sensations web experience.

The new website coincides with a TV advertising campaign as well as the launch of two new flavours: Buffalo Mozzarella & Herbs and Southern Style Barbecue.

The new website showcases the new branding and gives a tongue-in cheek insight into how the crisp range has been created by ‘flavourologists who use science and art to take crisp fans on a ‘flavour journey.’

The website will also feature branded Sensations content including mobile downloads of Sensations screensavers and wallpapers.

Fans of the new Sensations can share the site via various social bookmarking services such as delicious and facebook and will also have the opportunity to take part in various ongoing competitions for their chance to win boxes of their favourite crisps.

Competitions will provide data capture and will be fully supported by Jigsaw’s CRM platform.

Zoë Howe, Brand Manager Walkers Sensations said: "The launch of Sensations' first ever website is an integral part of the massive brand re-launch, bringing to life the new pack design and the "Let Flavour Unfold" strapline. An increased on-line presence gives our consumers an opportunity to interact with the brand they love and to keep up to date with all the latest brand news. This is just the first stage of the Sensations website; we plan further developments over the coming months".

Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…

Guest comment: No rival to the SMS text exists in the market today
SMS is the obvious “lowest common denominator” mobile marketing solution... yet critics still talk about apps and website and vouchers. Darren Daws, Managing Director at Txtlocal argues why SMS is still the best mobile marketing medium, even on smartphones.
