Feb 05, 2009

Travel book series Rough Guides has appointed The Search Work to manage the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) requirements for its website www.roughguides.com.

The Search Works will initially focus on implementing a new SEO strategy as www.roughguides.com begins to undergo a redesign, which will be launched later this year.  Following that, the strategy will shift focus to optimising new content and marketing.

The key objectives of the new partnership are to increase consumer traffic and interaction across the site, as well as maximising advertising revenue and conversions.

Vickie Birnage, Rough Guides’ Interim Director of Online said: “The Search Works’ approach, recommendations and understanding of our business was very impressive.  Leveraging its specialist insights from extensive experience in the Travel sector, we’re confident the new SEO strategy will achieve our site’s business objectives.”

The Search Works’ director of search performance, Gary Reid said: “Rough Guides required a comprehensive and fully-integrated SEO strategy to ensure the long-term success of its flagship website.  Our expertise and track record in providing effective SEO solutions for high-end brands will help us ensure the success of this partnership.”
