The BBC is to broadcast a new series of business-based reality show Dragons' Den in a new online-only format.
The new version of the show, which has run for six seasons on BBC 2, will feature two new venture capitalist ‘Dragons’ and initial pitches for investment made using video clips.
Entrepreneurs seeking up to £50,000 of start-up cash are invited to record their new business pitch on video, then upload it to the BBC's website, where it can be commented on and rated by the site's community.
The most "innovative, investment-ready or entertaining" pitches will be selected by the BBC to be seen by the new Dragons.
Successful applicants will then be invited to make their pitch in person to the Dragons, which will only be available for viewing on the Dragons' Den site.
