Creative digital agency Airlock has appointed Kat Heuser in a newly-created role as Project Director.

Heuser joins Airlock from IMG and will be responsible for overseeing the Project Management team in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Since 2007, Heuser has been Resource and Process Manager at IMG Digital, where she has been responsible for content strategy development for all video-based initiatives as well as overseeing other processes including business development and financial forecasting.

Previous to that she worked as Project Manager for IMG Digital, where she managed the launch of online video portals for Portsmouth FC and Fox Australia’s Premier League, as well as working on project administration for the Manchester City FC website.

In addition to working within the digital arm of IMG, Heuser was Production Manager at IMG Mobile, where she was instrumental in developing Nokia’s first sports and entertainment MMS service, and she worked in IMG’s Sports Production Division producing content for channels such as ESPN Sports Centre International.

Will Lebens, Managing Director, Airlock, commented: “Airlock is going from strength to strength, and we are expanding our team to enable us to build upon the successes we have had. Kat’s background in developing new web and mobile technology, combined with her project management experience, will prove invaluable when overseeing our future digital strategies.”

Kat Heuser added: “Airlock is at the forefront of digital design and by joining the team I hope to further increase their capacity to deliver large multiplatform projects.”

Kat’s background has a synergy with Airlock’s previous work in sport-related digital projects, which have included British tennis champion Andy Murray’s inaugural website - created and built by Airlock as an online community site where fans could access Andy’s blog, view exclusive interviews and content, as well as keeping up-to-date with breaking news. It has since become one of the world’s most popular tennis player sites.

Airlock also redesigned the website for the Lawn Tennis Association under the brand of British Tennis, making it an online gateway to tennis news and content in line with the new vision for the future of the sport in Britain.
