I Want One Of Those.com is making improvements to its online gift retail site, hiring user experience consultancy Webcredible for a usability testing project on its website.
Meanwhile, software-based application delivery company Zeus Technology has been hired by the online gift retailer to ensure its site is always fast and accessible, even during high traffic peaks.
The usability testing project is designed to identify areas of the site where the user experience can be improved with the aim of helping boost repeat visits and conversions.
The site aims to launch around 40 new products every month and allows users to purchase online at competitive prices.
Webcredible’s usability testing project will consist of 8 participants performing various tasks throughout the website.
Analysis and recommendations will then be communicated to I Want One Of Those.com, based on the results.
Julian Moskov, Online Marketing Manager at I Want One Of Those.com, said: “The ecommerce market is very competitive and it is important that our unique proposition is backed up with the best user experience possible. Webcredible will help us to continue our commitment to our users and in establishing any areas of the site where improvements can be made to further meet their needs.”
Webcredible was chosen by I Want One Of Those.com for this project following a two-way competitive pitch process.
Meanwhile, software-based application delivery company Zeus Technology has been hired by iwantoneofthose.com to deploy it sThe Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM) to help manage high levels of traffic.
The software deployment was recommended by, and managed through, value added reseller Secon.
Sagar Vadher, Head of IT, IWOOT, commented:, “When Secon first recommended the Zeus’s ZXTM, I was not convinced that a software solution would meet our requirements. On a busy day, IWOOT processes 2,000 orders an hour and just a minute of downtime can cost the company dearly. In previous years the festive holiday season was a stressful period as the entire IT team was completely focused on ensuring that website was always available to our users and customers and we were regularly required to work through the night.
“However, I was quickly proven wrong when after just 24 hours of the implementation of the ZXTM we were able to remove a bottleneck we had previously found difficult to identify. As a result we saw an immediate surge in capacity and an increase of uptime to 100%.”
