Tiscali offers new ad formats on revamped UK portal

Tiscali has redesigned its UK portal with a cleaner look and a range of new formats for advertisers.

The site revamp follows usability testing and customer feedback, and now features ‘user-activated’ video promoting highlights from Tiscali's video content.

Neal McCleave, Managing Director of Media Services at Tiscali said: “The redesign reflects our continued commitment to deliver a compelling choice of content and will ensure that the homepage is even easier for new and existing portal users to find the content and services they most require.”

A new channel-led navigation system offers access to content across the portal’s categories and gives users a more direct route into the popular genre-led sections of the site.

The site also offers a range of new and improved opportunities for advertisers, with new homepage promotional tools including pre-roll advertising on the video player, increased visibility for traditional advertising formats, and a selection of homepage takeover opportunities that can be tailored to the needs of each advertiser.

Tiscali customers have easier access to email and account information and visitors can keep up to date with the latest current events with scrolling news tickers beneath the navigation bar.

Reflecting Tiscali's wide range of products, including Digital TV the homepage will also incorporate the new interactive Tiscali TV guide, offering the pick of the best movies, soaps and more to watch each day.

The entire site is being revamped section by section, following on from the recent reworking of the TV guide and shopping channel.

Over the coming weeks users will see embedded video across the channels and an improved listings section.
