DatingDirect gets psychological

DatingDirect has launched a new website offering a more in-depth approach to online dating.

The site, DatingDirectAffinity.com, uses online psychometric testing and a professional coaching team to help singles looking for long-term love

The site offers members three key features - the free psychometric 'Affinity Test', online coaching from leading psychologists and relationship experts, and access to a dedicated relationships hotline.

The Affinity Test lets each member find out more about their own personality and who their ideal partner should be.

DatingDirectAffinity.com analyses the test data using 71 different criteria to recommend members potential partners who are deemed to be highly compatible.

The three key areas analysed are:

* System of values - what users believe in and what things matter to them most

* Outlook on life - users' views on relationships and love, and how they live their everyday lives

* Personality - personal traits and how users interact with others

This means that single people looking for a serious long term relationship with no wish to spend hours on the internet actively looking for potential dates no longer have to - instead they will be emailed compatible matches on a regular basis through DatingDirectAffinity.com.

Members can choose their own compatibility settings and will receive only those profiles of compatible members.

Users are also able to decide on their level of anonymity, and only need reveal their photos to members who genuinely interest them.

The service also offers members professional relationship advice and guidance through online coaching videos and advice columns from a team of psychologists and dating experts.

This is overseen by the site's chief clinical psychologist, the award winning Dr Cecelia d'Felice. These features and columns are updated on a monthly basis and members are encouraged to request what topics they would like covered.

However, if members would rather receive one to one advice they can either email or call the relationships hotline.

Alistair Shrimpton, Manager Director, said: "Thousands of our members asked us to develop a new online service whereby only highly compatible singles are presented to them. We have combined our technological excellence with ground breaking psychological testing and called it DatingDirectAffinity.com.  We're proud to be making it easier for our members to find that one in a million partner".

Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…
