MyLongLunch launches mail alerts

MyLongLunch, a portal that aims to bring together ad agencies and media owners, has launched a new email service.

MLL-Mail is designed to help advertising agencies keep up to date on the latest offers in the market

Speaking about the launch, Jamie Leonard, Managing Director of MyLongLunch LLP said: “We spoke to a lot of agency contacts and asked them what they thought of email alerts in general. The feedback we got was that most sites split their audience down into Media and Agency.

“If I worked in the digital department of Carat, for example, and I kept getting email alerts about press deals, I’d go blind to them.  The same problem would arise if I only dealt with RBS for TMP and I received emails about a nursing website.  The point is, if it’s not relevant, I don’t want it in my inbox”.

Jamie continued, “We only want our users to receive emails they have specifically asked for, and that’s what makes our offering so unique.  Agencies can select countless combinations from 10 different criteria in order to shape their email update profile to be as specific or as broad as they want them.  Users can also define “search strings” and set up multiple alerts with different criteria.”

Launched in February 2008, MyLongLunch is a free service to advertising agencies and offers access to updated  media information.  MyLongLunch aims to gives agencies a view of the media world from one portal, cutting down the time it takes to gather info and offering added value to their clients.

The new developments coincide with the appointment by MyLongLunch of new Agency Relationship Manager, Matthew Wise.  Jamie commented “the appointment of Matthew is yet another indication of our commitment to advertising agencies and our desire to work with them”.
