Chevrolet sponsors Miniclip site

Premium online ad firm eType is running a Chevrolet homepage takeover campaign on gaming site Miniclip.com, booked to run on a number of dates throughout the Summer.

Chevrolet commissioned eType to create a unique campaign, to promote the Chevrolet Dream Garage and drive traffic to its UK hub – www.dreamgarage.chevrolet.co.uk.

The Miniclip takeover and run of site advertising is booked to run in June, July and August 2008, encouraging people to enter a prize draw with the chance of winning three new vehicles from the Chevrolet range, creating a ‘Dream Garage’ for the winner.

The Chevrolet Dream Garage Competition has been created as a fun way to promote the Chevrolet range online. Judging from the high click thru rates (average 1%) and user response from the June and July takeovers, the prize draw has been successful in attracting the attention of Miniclip’s users, who due to the nature of the site’s gaming-based content, have really embraced the concept.

Robert Gay, MD, eType commented, “The Chevrolet campaign is a fantastic example of how to create a successful and clever online campaign. It’s unique in its approach, eye-catching in its design and convincing in its delivery, all of which appeal to the intelligent web user.”

The next takeover is due to go live on the 24th and 25th of July, with the final takeover appearing on Friday 8th of August.
