Jul 08, 2008

Financial services comparison site moneysupermarket is to be the exclusive personal finance partner for MSN Money, offering help and advice to visitors on a range of financial issues.

moneysupermarket.com will be providing comparison tools and best buy tables for a selection of financial products including: unsecured and secured loans, credit cards, mortgages, savings and current accounts.

In addition, the new deal will include moneysupermarket.com’s new Debt Solutions product, which provides consumers struggling with debt access to useful information and guides about the options available to them.

The price comparison site will also be launching a weekly column in July to help consumers better understand the financial market and provide personal finance tips.

The column will be written by moneysupermarket.com’s site editor, Clare Francis, who will also lead a series of regular video blogs.   The video blogs will feature expert analysis on a range of financial issues, offer advice on selecting financial products and will include interviews with senior figures from various financial institutions.

Mark Donnan, business development manager at moneysupermarket.com, said: “MSN is a major partner win for us; it is an extremely well respected and trusted, consumer focused website, committed to providing insightful editorial opinions, news and reviews. The two companies share many of the same customer values and we look forward to working with MSN to deliver accessible and transparent information and advice to users.”

Phil Coxon, Head of Partnerships at Microsoft Advertising, said: “moneysupermarket.com has great consumer insight into the market and provides users with a wide choice of offers online.  With the current economic situation increasing cost pressures on consumers, people are much more concerned with how they spend their money and it is important for them to have a trustworthy brand to turn to for advice”.
