Mobile media publisher MoMac has been selected by the world’s leading celebrity picture broker, Darryn Lyons, to build and manage a rich media mobile version of the hugely successful online celebrity gossip destination, Mr Paparazzi.

From launch, consumers will be able to snap celebrities at large using their mobile phone cameras and upload them to the Mr Paparazzi website where a team of experts can assess the bankability of the snap and if appropriate, use its Big Pictures global network to broker a deal with picture editors around the world.

Celebrity gossip fans will also be able to use their mobiles to access an array of infotainment services on a specially created Mr Paparazzi mobile internet site including up to the second celebrity news, videos and paparazzi photos contributed by the Mr Paparazzi editorial team, and the literally thousands of photographers around the world who feed content to Big Pictures. Every morning, the latest pap shots from around the globe will be available for fans to browse through.

In addition, the Mr Paparazzi mobile portal will harness the flexibility of MoMac’s GoMedia platform to build out a fully functioning user generated content layer on the site, allowing users to post comments and opinions on the latest celebrity pictures, video and news.

Darryn Lyons, owner and founder of Big Pictures and Mr Paparazzi said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver the world’s number one celebrity content site, which attracts over 1.7 million visitors a week on the net, to millions of mobile devices across the globe.”

“The online presence of Mr Paparazzi.com is huge and growing rapidly because people have realised that Mr Paparazzi.com delivers the latest breaking celebrity news direct from the source, faster than any other site. Not only that, but Mr Paparazzi also gives members of the public a unique opportunity to make a fortune by contributing their own celebrity pictures and videos”

Sham Careem, MD of MoMac, UK said: “Consumers are hungry for celebrity news and gossip.  The deal with Mr Paparazzi takes this a step further and brings together a brilliant consumer focussed website with the unique functions of the mobile device.  With this service we are effectively empowering any mobile user to snap, make money and contribute pictures and comments spontaneously, wherever they are.”
