eBay Advertising has launched its international business division to service multinational campaigns, targeting an audience of more than 80m active users.

eBay Advertising International is supported by its new advertising resource centre (www.ebayadvertising.com) to showcase opportunities to reach consumers accessing its range of product categories.

The new division will provide advertisers and agencies with a rich display ad format options and strategic partnerships.

Christian Kunz, Head of Advertising International at eBay, said: “As the online advertising market matures, brands are working harder to target an audience that is buying, searching and browsing specific products online. At eBay Advertising, we have a unique offering of the largest collection of category channels and unrivalled product transaction data, enabling brands to get closer to sales by directly targeting consumers with a high propensity to buy”.

Elena Bernardelli, Fiat UK marketing director, said: “eBay offered us an advertising opportunity that no other online portal could provide. Launching the new Fiat Bravo on the world’s online marketplace meant we could speak directly to our target markets in an innovative and fun way and open up a dialogue with thousands of consumers already looking to buy.”

Visitors to eBay’s new advertising resource centre (www.ebayadvertising.com) can browse through information on display and advertising partnerships, as well as view examples of previous campaigns from brands such as Royal Mail, Mercedes-Benz, Commerzbank and Fiat.

The eBay Advertising International business division has its international sales bureau in London, UK, and is headquartered in Bern, Switzerland.
