AOL’s digital advertising business, Platform-A, today has announced its leadership structure for the UK.

AOL launched Platform-A in 2007, strategically merging six complementary advertising companies: Advertising.com, Quigo, TACODA, Third Screen Media, buy.at, and ADTECH.

Michael Steckler will lead the UK operation with six key senior staff.

Cameran Harman is appointed as Head of Product and Property Sales, Platform-A, with responsibility for product development and driving sales across all properties.  He is promoted from his role as Commercial Director of Advertising.com in the UK.

Louise Green will lead Client Services and Delivery for Platform-A.  Green spent a year as Client Services Director of buy.at, acquired by Platform-A in February, 2008, and worked as MD of affiliate network, OMG before that.

Duncan George is selected as Head of Agency Sales, Platform-A to direct relationships with advertising agencies and increase revenue.  He moves from a similar position as Director Agency Sales for AOL and worked as GCap's Commercial Director prior to joining AOL.

Sarah Perry will direct Client Sales for Platform-A.  She joined recently from a role as Commercial Director at getmedia.com following sales and advertising roles at Red Letter Days and Hachette Filipacchi.

Oli Whitten, former Head of UK Publisher Services for Advertising.com is appointed as Head of Publisher Services for Platform-A.  He will lead a team developing relationships and revenue with publishers, including mobile and WAP sites, and affiliates.

Lucy Burton, formerly head of trade marketing for AOL, will lead trade marketing for Platform-A in the UK.

“This team combines a wealth of knowledge across the different channels of Platform-A from brand-building advertising to affiliate marketing," said Michael Steckler, Managing Director of Platform-A UK. "They have established relationships with clients, agencies, publishers and affiliates and share our vision to offer advertisers the best marketing tools and technologies available to help them effectively and efficiently deliver their messages to online audiences in the UK.  This is our first step towards rolling out Platform-A in the UK.”

Michael Steckler reports to Brendan Condon, also based in London, who directs Platform-A’s International operations as Managing Director, Platform-A International.

Michael Steckler adds, “We have a very strong business in the UK and will continue to grow by producing a world class experience for our UK customers and publishers, combining reach with optimization technologies, experience and targeting.  The new team will direct and drive this success in the UK.”
