Property website Primelocation has appointed Experian CheetahMail as its e-mail marketing partner of choice in the UK.

Primelocation will use Experian’s global e-mail marketing and customer intelligence service to enhance the range of services it offers its advertisers.

The deal with Experian CheetahMail will enable it to quickly deploy personalised messages to the site’s subscribers containing relevant and co-branded marketing messages from both Primelocation.com and its advertisers.

Experian CheetahMail will also provide the property portal with the ability to use dynamic content and event-triggered messages to drive higher returns from its e-mail marketing campaigns and increase customer loyalty.

Primelocation.com will draw on Experian CheetahMail’s extensive deliverability capabilities to optimise each campaign’s performance.

Led by Experian CheetahMail’s deliverability consultants, campaigns will use content evaluation to scan messages for potential deliverability issues, inbox and domain performance and e-mail data hygiene services.

Nick Young, Head of Direct Response Sales at Primelocation.com, said: “The scalability of Experian CheetahMail’s service and the depth of consulting expertise at our disposal provides us with the data insight and agility to quickly respond to market conditions with highly personalised e-mail marketing messages.  This means we can deliver even greater value for our customers and advertisers by providing timely and relevant content for the home buyer and seller markets."

Roy Jugessur, Head of Sales, UK & Ireland for Experian CheetahMail, said: “Primelocation.com wanted a fresh approach to e-mail marketing and needed a platform that could support and deliver on its commercial objectives.  Experian CheetahMail will ensure that Primelocation.com utilises the e-mail channel effectively with our blend of technology, data insight and consulting."

Guest comment: E-commerce innovation’s what we need
After a burst of innovative activity in e-commerce over the past few years (from single page checkout to shop the catwalk), 2009 saw innovation all but grind to a standstill. Is this going to continue into 2010 or are there already new ideas that are set to burst onto the retail scene? Fadi Shuman, co-founder of digital agency Pod1, looks at the outlook for e-commerce in 2010.
