ITN’s multimedia division, ITN On has struck a content deal with video sharing site Dailymotion.

ITN On is delivering five new channels on the platform including ITN News, ITN Entertainment, ITN Sport, ITN Music, Games and Gadgets and OMG.

The new content produced by ITN On for Dailymotion includes the Games and Gadgets channel, which features the all new T3 Gadget Show produced in association with T3 magazine.

The weekly programme looks at the latest gadgets on the market with expert opinion and advice from T3’s own team of journalists. ITN On’s new video games news and reviews programme, Gamerzine TV, is also available on the Games and Gadgets channel.

ITN On is the first UK news partner to launch on Dailymotion, giving social media fans the latest news stories as they break on the ITN News page.

The channel also features YouNews, a daily programme that brings together the most watched news stories, virals and video content on the web. Furthermore, ITN On is supplying a daily environmental news bulletin for the service.

The OMG channel features quirky news stories and And Finally clips from ITN’s extensive video archive as well as a new show entitled This is Genius a compilation of some of the strangest and funniest videos unearthed across the globe on that particular week.

The ITN Entertainment channel features Bollywood Insider and Showbiz Hot Five, a reverse countdown of the biggest celebrity stories of the day. Also of note is the music service, a new daily stream of the latest music news and exclusive artist interviews.

Dailymotion users are encouraged to share video with their friends, upload it on blogs and spread it across the web. The service is funded by advertising across channel pages with revenue shared between ITN On and Dailymotion.

Bryce Currie, Sales Director of ITN On, said: “We’re producing a diverse range of programming for Dailymotion’s global audience.  It’s a great way for us to showcase the depth and breadth of our new content and extend the ITN brand into new genres and territories.”

Digby Lewis, Creative Director at Dailymotion UK added: ‘Dailymotion’s users have an appetite for news in all its forms. ITN On is best placed to serve these needs and they are a welcome addition to our Official Content offering. This perfectly compliments our roots in citizen journalism and curated content from our Motionmaker community.’
