Health and care organisation Bupa has appointed digital marketing specialist Blowfish Digital to manage its paid search and media buying initiatives.

Bupa is a leading international health and care company with 10 million customers in over 200 countries.

The organisation has appointed Blowfish Digital to gain online prominence for Bupa Wellness which provides preventative health services to individuals and businesses at 60 Wellness centres throughout the UK.

Blowfish Digital will be providing its expertise in paid search and digital media buying to target people interested in discovering more about their personal health and fitness, as well as the preventative treatments available from Bupa. Blowfish Digital will be marketing the full range of Bupa Wellness services including GP consultations and personal health assessments.

Julia Pittell, Personal Marketing Executive of Bupa Wellness, said: “Bupa pioneered health screening in the UK.  Today, over 100,000 people a year have a Bupa health assessment, nearly a third of whom will identify a health issue that they were not aware of.  This enables them to take action to minimise any health risk.

With more people using the Internet for advice and help on health matters, online is an important medium for us.  Blowfish Digital has the experience and expertise to maintain our brand prominence and extend our customer reach online.”

Anna Brunt, Director of Business Development, Blowfish Digital, said: “We will be targeting a specific UK demographic via PPC and creative media buying. Bupa is a strong and trusted brand in the UK with a huge range of health related products and services. Our team will extend Bupa’s presence online through a strategic digital media campaign.”
