Yahoo! aims to simplify ad management

Yahoo has launched a new online ad management platform designed to simplify the process of creating, buying and selling ads online.
The new AMP platform lets advertisers buy ads across search, display, local, mobile and video inventory through one integrated interface.
The company said that it will launch AMP, which was previously called Project Apex, in phases, beginning in the third quarter of this year.
The first group to use it will be the more than 600 members in the company's newspaper consortium.
AMP is an open platform that will eventually include Yahoo's network of premium publishing partners, agencies and ad networks, and thousands of other smaller publishers from across the Web.
