Weather Channel offers 10 day forecasts on new site

The Weather Channel Interactive has revamped its UK site, with a new range of inventory for advertisers.

The new site offers hourly and daily (10-day) forecasts and detailed local weather information for every UK postcode, alongside local travel, health and event forecasts and worldwide locations.

 

Other features include a map room featuring an interactive radar and satellite map utilising Microsoft Virtual Earth, giving consumers control of local weather data down to street level. 

 

The site launches with a number of new ad formats products for advertisers, including dual-mode geo-targeting (IP and page context), weather-triggering, and lifestyle sponsorships. 

 

In addition, new non-standard ad products are intelligently integrated into weather presentation for maximum contextual relevance.
