Men’s apparel brand Charles Tyrwhitt has picked Mercado Software to run an eCommerce search and merchandising solution for its website.

Charles Tyrwhitt www.ctshirts.co.uk has a flagship store on London’s Jermyn Street and is currently the UK’s largest maker of high quality gentleman’s shirts, serving over half a million customers worldwide, through its online store, mail order catalogue and shops.

“Charles Tyrwhitt is the market leader in its sector,” says Rich Beattie, Vice President of Mercado Europe. “They retain that position by constantly looking for ways to improve their offering and are committed to offering the ultimate online shopping experience. We are delighted that they have chosen us to help them drive forward the eCommerce side of their business, and we have worked hard to ensure we deliver a solution that has clear benefits for them and their customers.”

“We recognise how important it is to stay ahead, and our online strategy is absolutely key for us to maintain our market-leading position,” says Alison Lancaster, Marketing Director from Charles Tyrwhitt. ”Marketing plays a central role in our multi-channel success, and we believe that Mercado’s searchandising software will allow visitors to find exactly what it is they are looking for – more quickly and easily – when browsing our site. Not only does this benefit our customers but it also benefits us as a business – by improving our conversion rates and the number of items people buy on each visit.”
