The deal comes within just one month of Hotelopia, the online hotel booking specialists, announcing a deal to provide hotel accommodation to North American carrier Zoom Airlines, adding to its growing portfolio of strategic alliances with airlines such as easyJet, GB Airways and bmibaby.

Since its launch in 2003, Wizz Air has rapidly expanded to service a growing customer base exceeding 3 million passengers per year by 2006. Coupled with Hotelopia’s contracting power to offer a massive range of hotels at guaranteed lowest prices, the partnership will signal the launch of the most comprehensive flights and hotels for those travelling to or from Eastern Europe.

By clicking on www.wizzhotel.com, customers can search from over 25.000 hotels including thousands of hotels in all Wizz Air destinations, gain access to current deals, view brochure style content and useful location maps. For added reassurance, each booking includes 24 hour customer service, seven days a week, whether at home or abroad, supported by a network of ‘in-destination’ offices.

Sotiris Damianos, Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotelopia commented: “The launch of a new accommodation service which draws on the strengths of Hotelopia and Wizz Air is of huge strategic importance. The agreement establishes a powerful travel partnership between two key players in Eastern Europe, in an environment full of growth potential. Both our companies are geared towards maximising the opportunity and offering customers exciting new affordable services which have yet to be launched in this region."

Natasa Kázmér, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of Wizz Air said: “Wizz Air is committed to continuously enhancing its services and offering the widest range of services available on its website. We are very pleased to enter into cooperation with Hotelopia, and expand our horizons together. Thanks to this alliance we will be able to provide Wizz Air customers with a wide choice of great value accomodation at all Wizz Air destinations and Europe wide.
