Rightmove ramps up email marketing

Pure will aim to reach almost a million users with monthly newsletters, and provide an ‘on behalf of’ email campaign facility to those in the property industry wanting to target specific sections of Rightmove’s user base.

Rightmove’s ‘on behalf of’ email campaigns are created and run for new home developers.

A developer with apartments to sell can request a highly targeted profile of Rightmove users by price band, property and search area; for example people searching postcode SW1 for apartments between £300,000 and £400,000.

Rob Wilson, Business Development Manager at Rightmove, said: “Email campaigns have become a critical and valued part of what we do. We were previously using a US-based email service provider, but with our increasing volume and activity, we discovered inconsistencies and errors in their delivery systems which meant we lost confidence in them.

“We selected Pure because its system is incredibly user-friendly – simple to use for non-technical people but with powerful advanced functionality to do complex tasks. Having been frustrated with transatlantic time differences and remote support, we wanted a system that was supported in the UK and a company we could develop personal relationships with.”

Wilson added that Pure’s comprehensive reporting functionality will play a key role in Rightmove’s growing use of e-marketing.
