Nuts mag sponsors Urban Legends show

Added:
Mar 26, 2007

The deal will see Nuts sponsor FX's brand new series, Urban Legends, which premieres this week in the UK.

Hosted by 'Balls of Steel' man Mark Dolan, the show is designed to satisfy men's desire for pub ammo and validate their golden nuggets of trivia.

Each episode will present three separate stories, incorporating dramatic reconstruction, interview and archive footage to illustrate an urban myth, but only one of these will be true. Viewers will be then invited to take part in a live poll to guess which of the three the true story is.

The deal includes the broadcast of a 10-second clip with Nuts branding, inviting viewers to find out more from the Nuts website, www.nuts.co.uk. There is also promotional 15 and 30 second ads, titles and bumper breaks including the Nuts logo.

Online, Nuts.co.uk will host a series of Urban Legends 'Mini-Myths' and will also host a sneak preview of the following week's episode. The programme will also be advertised inside the magazine in the week preceding launch.

Clair Porteous, publisher of Nuts, brokered the deal with Cecilia Parker, communications director at FX.

Commenting on the deal, Poreous said: "Nuts and FX are both bywords for quality entertainment for men so we're thrilled to be partnering for the new series of Urban Legends. The format of the show also lends itself to online and we're sure it's something Nuts readers will be keen to interact with via the website."
