Pangora launches travel price comparison service

Added:
Jan 22, 2007

The service lets users  search and compare prices for flights, with hotels and package breaks to follow.

The Pangora travel service has been launched initially on Lycos’ shopping channel with retail partners including Opodo, Nofrills, Wegolo, Air Berlin, MyTravel and Skytours. Pangora said it expects to sign-up new retail partners in the coming weeks.

Pangora technology powers a number of third-party media owner sites' shopping portals (including AOL, Yell.com, Virgin.net and T-Online amongst its 60 European portal partners) with its travel service expected to be rolled out following testing with the Lycos Shopping channel.

Rob Staunton, head of Pangora UK said: "Once we have the results of the launch on LYCOS Shopping, we expect to expand the service, improving the service range with new travel retailers and building traffic by offering the service to the third-party sites that we already power."
