The service lets readers interest in an ad and start an interaction with the advertiser with one text.
When a reader sees an advertisement and wants to know more, they send a text to the company's MOB.Li mobile service number, shown on the ad, and include their email address.
Information from the company is then automatically emailed back to them and can be retrieved via PC or internet-enabled mobile phone.
The service is free to the advertiser, while the customer pays for the text.
Kevin Usher for MOB.Li said: “Our aim is to connect consumers directly with organisations, for mutual benefit, via a mobile phone. There’s no unwanted communication as the customer asks to receive the information and their privacy is guaranteed – their personal details will not be passed on to other companies.”
UK-based MOB.Li is the free mobile marketing services division of 123TXT Ltd.
