Bebo launches MySpace Music rival

The new service offers users unlimited uploads of music, photos and videos to promote unsigned bands. The site claims to have signed up 10,000 registered users on the Bands section ahead of the official launch.

Bebo Bands lets users share playlists which can be ranked for popularity.

Last month, broadcaster MTV launched a social networking called MTV Flux, based around music videos, encouraging users to create and share their own playlists.
