The online ‘date profiling’ program will initially be used  to help single people promote themselves in a more articulate and powerful manner on dating and community sites.

The program, which can be downloaded from www.whitesmoke.com and appears as an icon at the bottom of the computer screen, helps people using internet dating programs to express themselves more eloquently and to support them with spelling, grammar and text enrichment suggestions.

A major audience that Israel-based WhiteSmoke are targeting is the UK, where the market is worth £8bn and the Internet is the third most popular method for getting a date.

WhiteSmoke’s patented technology aims to simulate the human brain by reading, classifying and storing millions of carefully selected texts, and provides the user with precise context-related choices. The context scenarios are available in a number of various writing styles, including commercial, legal, and medical.

Hilla Brenner, CEO of WhiteSmoke added: “With internet dating first impressions can make all the difference.  People who fail to express themselves in an effective way or make silly spelling mistakes can lose out on a date…and the chance of finding love.  The UK is a prime example of an increasingly multi-cultural society and where Internet dating is extremely popular - and we are happy to introduce technology that ensures the right messages won’t get lost in translation”

WhiteSmoke’s online dating profile writing support package is retailing at $59.95.
