The deal will make the retailer’s music catalogue available to buy online in a DRM-free format.
Stephen Godfroy of Rough Trade Retail, said: “Digital shoppers can expect unique Rough Trade Retail features and services that cater for both individuals and organisations looking for rewarding, consistent discovery of only the most exciting music releases, free from the constraints of marketing-driven recommendations and playlists, DRM and other such non-Rough Trade Retail practices”.
Formed in 1976, Rough Trade operates two London shops, an online store (www.roughtrade.com) and an online Album Club service.
Bleep was launched in January 2004, by independent label Warp Records, and hosts over 300 other independent labels from a range of genres.
