The Dweebz, first conceived by Jez Hall and Vince Jones from Fat City Films, offers kids the chance to control the action on screen.

The Dweebz is a 52 show series of 11 minute episodes, following the exploits of two schoolboys Keith Cheese and Norbert Chalk, who become superheroes ‘fighting on behalf of nerds’ using a super computer hidden in their locker and an array of gizmos.

Viewers can determine the action that takes place in the show using their mobile phone.

The Dweebz will ask Dweeb team members to help solve riddles, puzzles or generally get them out of trouble. Kids are rewarded with on-screen name checks & a roll of honour at the end of each show.

In addition, a website acts as the off-screen hub for the Dweebz team and kids can interact with their Dweebz persona as well as receiving exclusive ringtones, pictures and access to games.

Guy Templer, the commercial director of Two Way TV, said: “Mobile-to-TV provides a great way of extending the brand beyond the show. It will create the kind of playground chatter that every kids’ broadcaster loves.”
