Quartz said its service differs from competitors as its technology is developed by a media firm rather than an agency.
Crystal Guides, owners of Quartz, have developed the ‘qiTraffic’ technology suite to optimise a clients search keyword bids automatically every hour, based on the ROI of each individual keyword in the campaign.
The qiTraffic technology utilises the APIs of Google, Overture and Miva and allows clients to set a target ROI or CPA for their paid search campaign.
Initially, Quartz Interactive will offer their technology as a managed service to clients, but will offer the technology suite as a standalone product to digital agencies and direct clients within six months in order to compete with products such as Searchwork’s BidBuddy and Atlas OnePoint.
Media firm Crystal Guides initially developed the product to address the paid search requirements of their own online publishing division. Crystal Guides publishes websites such as UK Directory, The Answerbank and UK Net Guide.
At launch Quartz Interactive will be responsible for managing a paid search spend of over £1.2m per year and predicts that this will grow to £5m within six months of trading.
To promote the launch, Quartz Interactive is offering clients a free 14 day trial.
Paul Mead, MD of Quartz Interactive, said: “We are specialist in paid search. We don’t do SEO, we don’t do affiliate marketing and we don’t do general online media buying.
"This means that we can focus purely on helping our clients to maximise their ROI and achieve optimal performance from their paid search activity,” Mead added.
