Blinkx adds podcast search

Users can now type a keyword and Blinkx uses voice recognition to index the content on its blinkx.tv media search. Users can then listen or view the content online.

 

Blinkx said that more than 150,000 podcasts and video blogs are currently searchable.

 

Other video search services, such as Google only use the text information provided by content creators to conduct  their media searches.

 

Yesterday, Apple introduced an updated version its iTunes online store with software that allows users to search a directory of more than 3,000 podcast shows.
