The agency has previously worked with US-based Silverpop to provide email arketing campaigns for its clients, including BSkyB and UBS.

Digital Oxygen said the deal will allow it to focus more on email marketing, while giving Silverpop with a greater awareness of the UK market.

Jim McCormick, CFO of Silverpop, said: "Digital Oxygen's extensive experience in servicing UK-based clients will bring Silverpop an invaluable level of local market expertise, and add a high level of talent to our growing presence in the UK and continental Europe."

The announcement follows Silverpop's addition of a London office last month, which will now incorporate Digital Oxygen. Silverpop’s UK clients include two of the top five global banks in London, as well as Skype, British Sky Broadcasting and Gizmondo.

Mike Weston, joint-founder of Digital Oxygen, said: "As a former reseller of its product, we know Silverpop's potential and are really excited about making Silverpop a central part of the thriving UK market."

Digital Oxygen was founded by Mike Weston, Riaz Kanani and Marc Morris. It’s client include The British Horseracing Board (BHB), Midway Games, Zenith Optimedia, Proximity London, and HMV.
