Racing channel launches gambling sites

Both sites are licensed in Alderney and powered by gaming software supplier Wagerworks. The casino site offers some 56 non-download games and the company is offering new players a 100% sign-up bonus up to £250. As is usual for casino sites, punters will be able to play for real or fun money.

Customers of the poker room, meanwhile, will receive a £100 token redeemable against tournaments.

The company intends to market both through its TV channel making the casino and poker rooms "the number one destinations for European horseracing punters."

Visitors to the sites will be able to compete in tournaments against racing presenters and pundits, with the tournaments receiving coverage both online and through the TV channel.

ATR will also operate loyalty schemes and promotions, which will include tickets to race meetings and special hospitality events.

The channel currently attracts more than 1 million viewers each month. At The Races relaunched last year as a joint venture between race course operator Arena Leisure and broadcaster BskyB.
