Awards attract brightest and best

Hosted in a club-like atmosphere at the Café de Paris in London's West End on Wednesday March 30th, the awards eschew the average Black Tie/dinner/disco format for a glamorous party which will run till 3am.

And there is more than the usual reason to celebrate, as the winners are voted for by the digital industry itself, in online voting.

The Imperatives will be hosted by digital industry veteran and stand-up comedian, Robert Hamilton, described by Time Out magazine as "razor sharp".

Robert says: "I'm looking forward to the event - it's a great venue, tickets are selling fast and we'll have a lot of fun. I think it will be a welcome departure from the usual awards, especially for those who don't really like chicken."

Just a handful of the companies confirmed to attend so far include 12Snap, Agency.com, AskJeeves, E-spotting, Friends Reunited, Glue London, Hello Magazine, I-Level, Lateral, Multimap, Reuters, Shazam, The Guardian, The Usability Company, Time Magazine, Video Island, Virgin Radio and Wheel.

Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…
