The move forms part of the global integration of the business units within McCann Worldgroup's customer relationship division, MRM.

As chief executive of MRM Partners UK, Duncan will oversee the London offices of MRM, Zentropy Partners, Just communications, and database analytics company Millar Starr.

Duncan said: "Bringing together the specialist divisions that deliver MRM Partner's focused customer relationship programmes – and placing interactivity at the heart of them - represents an important step forward."

In 2000, Duncan was responsible for launching Zentropy Partners in the UK.

Reuben Hendell, CEO of MRM Partners Worldwide, commented: "Alastair will help enhance our best-in-class offerings in our critically important European London hub office as customer relationship marketing continues to evolve and grow in importance."

MRM Partners has 62 offices in 37 countries and more than 1,700 employees. Its clients include Buick, Coca-Cola, General Motors, L'Oreal, Microsoft, Nestle, Unilever and UPS.

It is a unit of McCann Worldgroup, which is owned by Interpublic Group of Companies.

Duncan's promotion coincides with that of Anders Eckman in New York and Brian Powley in San Francisco/Los Angeles.
