Mobile 365, formed from the newly merged mobile messaging services Mobileway and InphoMatch, has created wallpaper and 'alien' ringtones from the film.

The images and tones will be sold to operators or third-party users such as ringtone and logo providers, or be sent straight to the mobile phones of UK film fans.

By texting 'ALIEN' or 'PRED' to code '83200,' users can vote on who will win the battle between the movie monsters.

Details of how to vote will be carried on all above-the-line advertising materials for the film, with each SMS costing just 25p.

Voters with colour handsets will receive free and exclusive Alien Vs Predator wallpaper to display on their phone, and can order more mobile content priced at £1.50.

Russell Tarr, country manager, UK & Ireland for Mobile 365, said the promotion was also designed to benefit the studio's future marketing campaigns. "Fox will be able to build a huge mobile marketing database enabling them to market new films directly to users in the future," he said.

Mobile 365 will distributing the mobile content through global mobile network operators and mobile content providers.
