RBS drafts NetNames to manage domains

The bank will use NetNames’ platinum service to consolidate its portfolio of domain names, in order to improve the registration, renewal and payment process, and safeguard its online intellectual property.

RBS Group has a portfolio of over 1000 domain names, including online brands NatWest, Direct Line Finance, Lombard Direct, Tesco Finance and Virgin Direct Personal Finance.

The service will enable RBS Group to view its entire domain name portfolio in one place. NetNames will also provide a dedicated NetNames account manager to act as one single point of contact on the group's global domain strategy.
