Online Clothes Shopping is the fastest growing online shopping category and reached an all-time high of almost £100m a month in March 2004, according to IMRG. The IMRG Clothing, Footwear and Accessories Index reached an all-time high of 424 in March, revealing that UK online sales of these goods approached £100m during the month, as consumers spruced up their Spring wardrobes. This sector's sales have soared 476% in three years and now represent 9% of all British internet shopping: its growth is considerably faster than that of internet shopping in general, which has increased 283% during the same period. Overall, the IMRG Index was 41.3% higher than a year ago, at 1298, indicating that total online sales in March were well over £1bn again.
