With the addition of Poland, the TradeDoubler network spans 16 countries across Europe, which Will Cooper, chief marketing officer at TradeDoubler, claims makes it the biggest and most far-reaching affiliate marketing programme in Europe.

He added: "There is also no reason why we couldn't move into markets outside the EU, either through partnerships or on our own in the long term."

The affiliate marketing sector is forecast for rapid growth this year and is also becoming more competitive with Dealgroupmedia and Webgravity, andin October to combine it with its existing Be Free subsidiary under the CJ brand.

, TradeDoubler announced that full-year profitability for 2003 after reporting revenue of EU28m, an increase of EU13m on 2002 results. The company also generated sales of EU400m and over 4.2m leads for its clients through its affiliate network.

Cooper said trading so far this year had already exceeded the company's expectations. He said both February and March showed strong sales, bucking the usual trend of a drop in trading after the January sales and Christmas period.
