British workers believe they would be happier and more productive if they weren't tied to their office desks for most of their working lives, according to a BT survey released today as part of the telco's Wireless Broadband Week. More than half of workers surveyed spent over five hours a day sitting in front of their computer but 66% said they would be happier if they could work from a location of their choice. Working from a mountain top or yacht was the work destination of choice for 18% of people surveyed, while 37% said they wanted to work from the beach and 17% said they would settle for working from the park or their back garden.
