O2 to support World Idol

Co-owners of Pop Idol FremantleMedia and O2 have partnered to bring the reality entertainment programme World Idol to mobile phone users. Fans in the UK will be able to use their mobile to text in their winning vote when winners of Pop Idol go head to head in a world final on Christmas Day. In addition to text voting, subscribers will also be sent the latest news on the show with a picture attached as an MMS alert plus gain access to a range of downloadable content such as ring tones.
