Digital radio taking off

One in two radios bought are digital, according to the country's leading electrical retailer. The Dixons Group, which owns Dixons and Currys, as well as the PC World and MVC chains, reported that 50% of its radio sales now involved sets with digital capability. Meanwhile, UBC Media, the digital radio broadcaster, today said it expects to increase the amount of listeners to its Classic Gold Digital network, having informed shareholders that current trading is in line with expectations.
