Relaunch of local information site

The website, called Neighbourhood Statistics, is aimed at existing residents, as well as those looking to move into a new area. It provides information about the local demographic, housing, crime rates, schools and economic activity.

Users can access statistics according to postcode, town or city name, as well as being able to search by subject for an overview of the best and worst that the UK has to offer.

The new website now supports search and analysis across a number of territories, so potential home movers can compare possible areas that they would like to relocate to, based on their wants and needs.

The data featured on the site is supplied by the Office of National Statistics and was compiled from the 2001 Census.
