The handset developer said a number of popular games will be available for N-Gage, including Tomb Raider from Eidos, which it said has been extended to include advanced network gaming capabilities, including the ability for players to direct, edit and share their own cinematic game play sequences over the mobile network.
Nokia has also announced several new partnerships with Activision and Ideaworks3D, to bring Tony Hawk's Pro Skater to the N-Gage, and with Gameloft to make a number of its multiplayer titles available.
These include Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, where two players can join together in co-operative mode to solve special situations, as well as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Rayman 3 and Marcel Desailly Pro Soccer.
The Nokia N-Gage, which will likely compete with Nintendo's Gameboy Advance, will be available to consumers across five continents in early October, in time for the Christmas shopping season, with roughly 20 games expected to be available for the release.
As well as partnering with major games developers, Nokia said it also planned to create branded Nokia N-Gage titles. These include Pathway to Glory, an online warfare community, due to be release in spring next year.
