MSN latrine hoax revealed

MSN's highly publicised iLoo project has turned out to be a hoax created by the company's MSN UK division, supposedly as an April Fools day gag, albeit over a month late. Two weeks ago, MSN UK released a statement, saying that it was developing an internet-enabled portaloo, complete with broadband connection, wireless keyboard and splash proof screen, which would make its debut at next months Glastonbury music festival. The fake release, which has now mysteriously disappeared from the MSN UK website, was picked up and covered press, including The Wall Street Journal, AP, Reuters, and netimperative.
