Argos to sell insurance for pets

Catalogue retail chain Argos is hoping the success of its website will rub off on its newly-launched pet insurance operation online. The new site, www.argospetinsurance.co.uk, will offer users an instant quote and the ability to buy a policy online to cover their cherished household companion. The move follows Argos' parent group GUS' costly re-integration of failed venture jungle.com at the end of last year. It claims Argos.co.uk received 31m visitors in 2002.
