New UK directory enters beta testing

A new independent UK-owned search directory is due to launch early next year. Labelled searchuno.co.uk, the new service is in beta stage testing and plans to make its mark by carrying no banner advertising - including pop-ups and buttons - at all. Instead, the service, which is owned by Park Royal Media, hopes to glean revenues from text sponsorships.
