Autonomy's software will aggregate, categorise, summarise and personalise training content for Telecom Italia employees, who will access tailored information through an interactive portal application, thus minimising the amount of time spent manually searching for relevant training material.
The Cambridge-based company said Telecom Italia selected its technology for "its ability to generate significant cost savings through automation", as well as for its multimedia capabilities.
Employees using the training system will be able to access text, voice and video formats, which Autonomy claims to be "essential to an integrated learning network". The company will also provide Telecom Italia with its proprietary Classification Server, enabling it to have an overview of all the training material held within the organisation.
Shares are up 4.5% at 192p, capitalising Autonomy at £237m.
