The company, which reported its first pre-tax profit last week, said its customers will benefit from online access to Hertz and will be offered the best rates. The car rental firm has a presence in 150 countries.
Lastminute recently relaunched its car hire category with a newly designed booking engine, as it aims to provide a one-stop shop facility for holiday-seekers. Last month is announced a relationship with airport car park operator BCP, to enable users to book slots in advance at a discount.
Hertz VP for sales and marketing, Bill Jones, said: "Lastminute.com was the obvious choice for a strategic online partnership as Hertz continues to develop and expand its online reach."
The new financial year has started "strongly", according to lastminute, which remains acquisitive. Shares are marginally off at 104.75p, valuing the company at £248m.
